Caribbean maritime administrations updated at regional meeting
Caribbean Member States have been updated on the latest developments at IMO during the Regional Meeting of Directors and Heads of Maritime Administrations (DIHMAR 3) in Rockley, Christ Church, Barbados (2-3 May 2024). Directors and Heads of maritime administrations were informed on information resources for latest regulatory and other developments at IMO.
Pushing for implementation of hazardous and noxious substances liability treaty
The final piece of the puzzle in the liability and compensation treaty regime for shipping will fall into place when the 2010 Convention on Liability for Damage in Connection with the Carriage of Hazardous and Noxious Substances by Sea (HNS) enters into force.
